Intellichlor IC40 all lights off, and D1 light flashing on 521091 board

Hi, I have a problem of all lights off on the intellichlor IC40, and on the 521091 board D1 light flashing , seems D3 off all together.

My intellichlor is > 7 years old as well, had lights on last week but didnt seem to be producing chlorine..

Any suggestions on diagnosing whether it is the board or the IC40 unit?

Mark,

Use a voltmeter and test the DC voltage going to the cell.. Test between the large Red and Black wires going from the Surge card down to the cell.

It should be about 30 to 40 volts DC. If you have less than 28 volts DC I would consider the surge card bad.

Most of the time, when the lights on the cell are off, it is a bad cell. Most cells last 5 to 7 years.
