I installed one of these and I cannot get flow through my flow cell so the flow switch will not work and so the whole unit is not working. I do not have a heater and so my return line is connected downstream from flow in connection. It appears that without the flow loss by going through a heater I have flow coming back through the return and this in turn equalizes the flow. I installed a check valve on the return but did not change. The manual does not say what to do without a heater.
I wanted to see if anyone has installation like this and if had same problem and what was the fix.

Just do the connection across the filter instead. So flow cell input saddle clamp is after the pump and outlet saddle clamp is after the filter. There should be enough pressure drop to cause flow into the cell. Another option is to use the pump itself with outlet tied to the strainer basket drain and inlet tied to the impellar drain.

If you do that make sure you install a strainer on the line. You can foul the flow switch with a small amount of debris.

Thanks joyfulnoise. I was hung up on after the filter like manual shows I am going to tap the outlet pipe on filter pump and see what happens
