I have a Pool only, no Spa. Haven't been able to find much detail of what's available when configuring a Spa other than using 2 activators to change the suction & return lines. So, just curious if I could set up my pool's seat jets as a pseudo-spa as an alternative to Groups.

Return actuator: similar to a "real spa" - I'd change from my pool's return line to the jet's water line.
Suction actuator: replace with one on a valve limiting flow to solar panels when pump goes to the higher speed needed for jets

Guessing these are part of "real spa" config:
Pump speed: possible to add a delay so the Solar flow limiting (Suction replacement in this case) actuator has fully repositioned?
Blower
SWG
: thought I read somewhere that this is auto decreased or turned off in Spa Mode. At any rate, is it controllable here?
Heater: is the solar left as defined in Pool mode? Or does it have to be redefined? Or is it even available in Spa mode?

Buda,

You really don't "configure" the spa mode.. It is more or less automatic.. When you select the Spa mode, both the Intake valve and the Return valves rotate from one stop to the other stop. Generally 180 degrees...

I do not have an in-ground spa, but use the Spa mode on my EasyTouch to control my standalone spa. No valves are involved, but I guess my point is that you can use the Spa mode for whatever you want.. You just can't make the valves move except as they are designed to move what switching between the pool and spa modes.

Thanks,

Jim R.

I know the operation is automatic - not what I'm talking about. I mean during the initial setup wizard where I'm assuming you define what equipment/valves/relays are present for the spa. Know that 2 valves are dedicated for switching suction & return. I would think the heater, blower, lights, etc would be part of this so turning on the spa would auto turn those on too. That's the part that I'm asking about - what can be selected and can a delay be included. :)

Just to add, this is probably very basic stuff in pool automation, but I've never seen or used one. The Install & User Manuals skip a lot because they expect that you can see the screens and/or follow the wizards. No doubt if I had one in front of me, it'd be obvious and there'd be no need for these questions.

Ok, think I found a couple of partial answers in a couple of screen shots from a post by MyAZPool

Looks like the SWG is set for Spa mode here:

And the pump would be something like this except rpm instead of gpm:

In another thread, I'd asked about delays and MyAZPool had answered
Yes, but I don't think it works all that great. Valve delays are selected in SETTINGS > GENERAL SETTINGS > ADVANCED SETTINGS in the Web Client.
Are there POOL and SPA sections like the SWG & pump?

How about the Blower & Solar? Similar technique to set values for POOL, SPA and other circuits?
