Have just turned on my unit for first time and went through the Wizard w/o web. Pump not defined yet; no schedules entered.

Home screen says it's in Service mode. Is this because there's no schedules?

Relays: If i press Features, I see my relays, but they're inactive. Because Home screen is in Service Mode? I can go to Settings-Service Mode and turn these on/off ok.

IntelliValves: Think I have them set, but never get green for Auto. Mode just goes Set (blue), Service (yellow), Off (red), repeat. How to test from IntelliCenter? Set Pool mode, nothing happens; same with Spa mode.

Can I not change the name of the Intake valve? I'm using this valve for another purpose (single body of water), but setting is dependent on pool or spa mode like a real Intake valve.

Diane,

The Intake and Return valve functions are fixed and can't be changed.. They only move when going between the Pool mode and Spa mode. That does not mean you can't use them for something else, but the IntelliCenter just does not known it.. You can't "program" then to turn when you want..

I "assume" the IntelliCenter is like the EasyTouch and you change to the Service mode outside at the main panel. This is because the Service mode is just that... It is used by the Pool Service guy when he wants to disable the automation system.. When in the Service mode, nothing will happen automatically or by schedule.. This is so if the Service guy has the filter open, the pump will not start automatically.

Your automation can not talk with your VS pump when in the Service mode.. You have to be in Auto...

Thanks,

Jim R.

I don't want to change the function, just the valve name.

Yes, I know. The problem is why does the Main screen say Service? How do I get to Auto mode?
