Giving this thread a resurrection of sorts…

@rstrouse @MyAZPool

Any idea if DashPanel will work with new IntelliCenter 3.004 FW? I debating being a guinea pig but opted to ask first.

Edit: Not sure why this was moved as it was pertinent to the existing thread, but this is certainly fine!

Hey @Candurin
Good question.
Yeah, not really sure (on both accounts).
When I got the email notification, it took me here...

Anyway, I just checked the njspC repository, and there was no mention of 3.004 FW compatibility or anything like that.
I'm still running 1.064 FW and njspC 7.7.0. Everything is working just as well today as it did three or four years ago.
The last njspC revision is 8.0.4 I think.

I would post your question here and see what others have to say...

Last time I installed a major Intellicenter firmware update, intellicenter stopped working in all kinds of weird ways - so I downgraded back to 1.064 and have learned my lesson not to ever upgrade unless/until there is a very particular need to.

Are there particular features/bug fixes you're seeing from 3.004 or just curious to try it?

Because Pentair apparently has one single developer on payroll who only once casually glanced at a "programming principles for dummies" book and said "passss" lol I don't trust their software team at all - every roll out has been atrocious.

I will say that 3.004 seems solid standalone without njspC.

Pentair said release 2.XXX and 3.XXX were major rearchitectures from 1.XXX.

I am not surprised that the rearchitecture broke some things njspC running on 1.064 relied on and will take some effort to redevelop with 3.XXX

I’m still in IC FW 1.064 and njspC 8.0.0.

I was more curious about compatibility more than anything. I certainly have no pressing need to update anything as it all still works perfect, just being proactive if Pentair decides to force an update :)

I appreciate all the feedback!

Yea great point! If Pentair ever forces an update and nodejs hasn't updated yet, I will literally block its access to the internet, downgrade it, and then just use nodejs like I already do for everything. It really is THAT good. I don't touch the Pentair app unless I'm away from home - and I could even just set up a VPN to nodejs for that I guess...

I have a tablet with a custom nodejs skin that is mounted outside to the wall so that's practically all we use! So convenient.

That's a cool skin.
