I have 6 Intellibrite LED lights in the pool. One of the lights turns on with the rest of the lights but after about 5 seconds it turns off. When you look at it you can see three red LED lights dimly lite in the unit. The rest of the lights are working perfectly. Do you think this is a unit that has gone bad or could it be a wiring issue. Just seems odd that it fires up then goes out. Thanks.

I would check the connections first. A poor connection could initially pass the full required current, then heat up and create a high resistance point, lessening the available current to the LED fixture. Wire nuts in junction boxes can loosen up due to heat and cool cycles, so untwist the wire nuts, make sure there is no corrosion then tightly reinstall the wire nuts.

Hi. Just posted a similar thread about Savi mini melody lights. My transformer is inside my basement so it stays pretty much one temperature, but checked it anyway. Didn't see any visible issues. Sent out messages to the manufacturer and my pool store. I will share the replies when I get them.

I have the same problem with my Pentair GloBrite pool light, it comes on and 5 sec later turn off.
Did you resolve your problem? If so what was the cause? Thanks.

I have the same issue, did you ever figure it out by any chance?

I just had this issue last night with Pentair MicroBrite lights installed a few months ago. I emailed the builder, who quickly sent an email out to the company owner saying I had a bad light that needed to be replaced.

Other lights would turn on, one would stick with the dim red setting and eventually turned off. Based on the quick response and lack of questions it seems like the PB has seen this before and it's a dead unit. I'll update if I get any more information.

PB came out today to replace the light. It just went bad, it seems. Installer was going on about how Pentair keeps “innovating” their lights to newer and newer models so QC might be a bit lacking.
Know this info isn’t particularly helpful, but when my light gave the red LED of death the way our PB resolved the issue was to replace it.

This is a very common issue with these lights. The driver overheats and renders the light useless. A replacement driver is around $400 but Pentair hasn't taken any drastic steps to remidy the issue.

Another option is to replace the unit with one of these:
