Hey all I am looking to install a intellibrite light controller. I'm a little confused on if I need a step down transformer or not. My set up right now has wire from my breaker box going into another box where I have the switches to my 2 5g lights for my pool. Can I just hook the controller to that? I've tried searching but since I'm not an electrician it's all so confusing. Thanks!

i'm not planning on controlling them independantly... i just want them to run off the same controller. from my understanding, i connect the all the white wires together, all the blacks together, and greens all together? what do i do with the red wire on the controller?

i think i figured it out. the red wire on the controller connects to the black wires from the lights and the black wire from the controller connects to the black wires from the breaker. does this sound correct?

I think it is the other way around. The black wire from the controller connects to the black hot wire from the breaker. The red wire from the controller connects to the two black wires from the lights.

See Page 5 step 4 where they confusingly change the black wires to a red wire to connect to the controller red wire.
