Hi all! First pool and first post. Leveling ground now. Plan to use XPS foam boards. For under the support legs. What is the prevailing best practice. I’ve read lots of different options. What I’m going between are 2x12 pressure treated boards, 8x8 holland pavers, or 12x12 paver blocks.

Thanks for your expertise!

Welcome to TFP.

Intex recommends using 2x6 or 2x12 pressure-treated boards instead of pavers to support the legs on their rectangular pools. The support for the legs needs to be large enough so the legs do not hang off the sides of the support and have room to spread out as the pool is filled.

Thanks for the additional link.

I am on my second Intex (upgraded to a larger one) and in both instances I used pavers. I also put a rubber mat over each pad to better protect the legs from getting the paint scratched, exposing the metal and inducing rust sooner.
