Integrity of the pool stores

I did. He said they don’t do that.
See, I would have a problem with that. But I tend to be persistent. "What? What do you mean you don't do that? I'm your customer. What is your reasoning for not sharing the test results?" I'd keep asking, going through the chain of command until I got a satisfactory answer....or I get kicked out of the store!

I’m not allowed in the Leslie’s closest to me. I pulled out a water sample printout from the other Leslie’s 2 miles away, when the guy told me my TA & PH were “through the roof”. I said, “but the other store 2 miles away said it was fine, SEE”
He asked me to leave and not come back.
Now that's funny! I bring sample to my local Leslie's usually once every month or so when I go to pick up a case of muriatic acid. Their readings usually align with mine - just goes to show every place is different. (though they usually balk at my 160ppm Calcium, it's a vinyl liner, so good enough for me). They've been pretty good to me when I need to buy stuff though (got an idea extra bit off on my new quattro, etc). At the end of the day, if a result is ever waay off (happened one time), I go home and retest, and having confirmed my first test resukt, wrote it off to it being a kid who had too many things going on and just fouled up the test.

I'd always trust my results first though, and retest before dropping any $.

That is just hilarious...
It had been awhile since I had my pool water tested at Leslies.. on the order of decades. so I decided to give it a go. The girl that tested my water was nice enough but was definitely not focused on just testing my water. she waited on at least 3 other customers at the same time and answered a question on a the phone. It was a marvel of multitasking... The test cells were never rinsed so if the previous customer had contaminants they were transferred to my sample. My sample was transferred to two different containers, from my container before it made into the test cell... each one was likely never rinsed out based on what I saw with the next customers test. And then she rushed the titrations, the line at the register was getting long, and I know she miscounted drops on the TA.
Moral of the story.. you get what you pay for, it's be another two decades before I decide to go back in all likely hood
