Installing on a slope - Can I level with gravel

We are getting ready to put up our 14ft metal frame pool, but our entire yard has a significant slope. Our plan is to build a frame and fill it with gravel to create a level spot. We will brace the low side for extra support. Is there any reason we shouldn't do it this way? What should I put between the gravel and pool so that we don't get sore feet or holes in the pool? Is there anything else I need to consider?
Thank you for your help!

Welcome to TFP! Generally speaking, we recommend cutting into the high side to make it lower as opposed to trying to build "up" a low end. That's because building up an area is more prone to failure by collapsing, shifting, wash-out, etc. Not saying it's impossible, but comes with more risk. Maybe post a pic or two of this area you are looking into placing the pool?

I'll try to get some pictures after we mow. The grass is too high to really see anything at the moment. Thanks!
