Hello,
Was wondering if anybody has had any experience installing new bolts into an existing concrete patio (4" deep) to secure a Flyte Deck II (fiber glass) diving board stand (Brand is SR Smith)?
The old bolts and washers were so rusted they just let loose and the whole board plummeted into the water while my son was jumping off of it, thank God he didn't get hurt.
SR Smith sells a kit for almost $200 of 1/2" stainless steel bolts and an epoxy, but was searching for a less expensive, long-lasting, super strong solution; since these bolts will undergo much stress as folks jump off the diving board.
I've had several friends give me all kinds of advice, but wondering what the Trouble Free Pool community thinks or better yet has experienced?
Please be as specific as possible when providing a solution, size of bolts, what kind of epoxy or hydraulic cement, etc.
Thank you so much everyone.
Adrian
