I bought a house last year, so this is the first season opening. I decided to install a new AquaRite S340 SWG. Before turning the SWG on, I followed the SLAM method using liquid chlorine. I got my water clear in about 4 days and passed the OCLT. The next day, I poured in 6 bags of salt and set the SWG to 65%, but the FC continued to drop. Salt level was at 2200 PPM, so I added more salt until getting it to the ideal 3200 PPM and increased the chlorination to 85%. I left the filter & SWG running overnight and my FC is still only at about 1. CYA is at 40 (I plan on bumping this up to 60 next) and pH is 7.2. I feel like after letting my SWG run for over 24 hours, that the FC should be a bit higher. Am I doing anything wrong, or do I just need to let it run longer?
Thanks!
