I installed my aqr15, aquatite t15 in about 2016. Ive had heck with cells, original hayward t15 did 2 yrs or so. Their 1yr warranty cell made it, well 1 yr. After that I've tried generic and they all make it about 1 yr.
This last round was calimar 3yr t15. Each cell made a year. They are great with the warranty, better than Hayward, Harvard is a 1 cell replacement.
I did just install circupools t15 replacement and it seems quite different. I like that it's not a rebrand of the generic cells.
Im curious if all cells have unwired plates. I expected alternating polarities, but this calimar has only the outside plates and center plate wired. My other failures where also erroded at the staked on wire lug. This center plate is completely gone.
Just my 2 cents. Hopefully circupool lasts.
Oh i did wire a hour meter to my circuit board output, this last calimar made 1100hrs. Quite short of the expected 3k. Hour meter is wired to the output of the xfmr.1000002342.jpg1000002343.jpg1000002344.jpg1000002347.jpg1000002346.jpg

Odd you are having such issues with your cells. My IC40 lasted 8 years first one and second is on its 2nd year.
I hope you are not putting trichlor pucks in your skimmer.

I dont use pucks. I didnt have an hour meter before, so i dont know the actual service hours. I may have some kind of electrolysis going on, or it maybe the calimar cells. My calimar cells all had this same erosion, so it may be a dis-similar metals issue from manufacturing, they are always eaten from the staked on lug. Hopefully this circupool cell last close to the 10k hours they say.
