Inline Chlorinator-Remove?

If I have an inline chlorinator but plan on using liquid chlorine to be put in the pool manually, is there a need to remove the chlorinator or can I just turn it to zero. It is a Hayward model but I am not certain exactly which.

It hurts nothing just sitting there. Plus in the future you may want to use it while you're on vacation. I would leave it empty but let the max water go through so you don't end up with any stagnant water inside.

I didn't realize you were still using it and it was full. I would just let them dissolve. But there should be no pressure in it when the pump is off. How have you been loading it?
