So when I opened my automatic chlroinator it had 2 half dissolved 3 inch tablets still in it but I got hit in the face with a gust of fumes that were in it after removing lid I moved back as much as I could to get away from the smell but still smelled it probably had 2 breaths of full funes and 2 breaths of hardly any as I moved away and tried to get into house to rinse eye out and shower to rinse off. Eye feels dry and slightly tingly and face where I wa exposed feels dry as well I'm breathing fine atm but def off probably cause I'm nervous and a bit scared of side effects or danger from it. As I said these were fumes from half dissolved tablets inside the chlorinator that hit me in face and I inhaled.

Chlorine gas is no joke. This happened about 3 hours ago. Are you okay? Did you seek medical attention?
Feeling fine atm face and eye are feeling normal having spurts of needing to take deeper breaths but other than that feeling OK atm

Not sure how long after exposure I should keep monitoring myself . Also outside of excessive flatulation like I said feeling otherwise Ok
Yeah I'd love to switch to a safer option trying to look into them cause more I read about the pucks less I feel safe even handling them with protective gloves or whatnot.

At some point switch to a salt water generator (SWG). You won't have to handle chlorine products anymore.
