I am going to be replacing the concrete around my pool soon, and will need to replace the anchors for the ladder and hand rail. I have measured the sizes, and I have fairly standard 1.9" tubes, and 20" spacing on the ladder and 8" spacing on the hand rail (I believe there are S.R. Smith like the diving board, but can't confirm.)
The first question, is what material do I get? I se aluminum, Bronze, Stainless, and even a high corrosive bronze. The Bronze seems to be the most common. I use standard liquid chlorine in my pool, so I don't think I need anything special. We do get winter here, so that would be of note.
The second question is that I see some that come on a metal channel from Perma-cast. These seem like a good choice to me, as it would keep them the required distance apart and help keep them from pulling out. Is there any other benefits to these? Or more importantly, is there a downside to using them versus just using the individual mounts?
And lastly, would is matter if the brands were mixed, IE if my ladders are S.R. Smith and I use Perma-cast mounts? I wouldn't think so, but I thought I should ask.
