League City/TX
Hola all,
This is still a working progress but thinking this is what we are going with and hopefully I can have everything together to break ground second week of February. Still interviewing sub-contractor that have a good working history that people are referring to me. So if you have any send my way. We are going with saltwater pool and this is the equipment that was suggested for to go with, any input on what is missing or what I can do with out, will be so helpful. I'm really over my head here but going to be a good leaning process.
It will have a 3 level fire/water feature at the end of the pool and color water jets along one side. I will find a better picture to post later. Thank you

You say you are going to have a salt water pool and the equipment lists a Rainbow chlorinator???

You should have a Pentair Intellichlor ICXX. How many gallons will your pool be?

Ah, i see the IC40 is included with the ET8. You don’t need the Rainbow.

There are better cleaners then the Pentair Li505g Kreey Krauly legend pressure side pool cleaner. Get a Polaris 380 or a robot cleaner.

Look at the new Intellicenter instead of the old ET8.

Absolutely gorgeous pool but just like Allen I am baffled that you'd build such a cool pool yet go backwards in efficiency and time by using a pressure cleaner instead of a robot, and bother with the Rainbow. It serves no purpose except in cost to your wallet. If *ever* your SWG wasn't working you can survive very well without it by using liquid chlorine or bleach.

Thank for input guys,
This just what the pool equipment rep suggested. I'm going to try to cut off the fat with help from you guys and get a up to date system. The pool is about 18,500 gallons, does that sound about right? The amount of gallons is not on any of my plans so just use pool calculator.

Changes so far;

1.Getting ride of the Rainbow 320.

2. Replacing the ET8 with the Pentair Intellicenter

3. Getting ride of pressure cleaning and go with robot. What robot would you guys recommend with this system? Going to start doing searches on these.

Identify a location where you will put the electrical plug for the robot and where you will store the robot when out of the pool.

Put a light over the equipment pad for when you need to check things at night.

Discuss with the PB the valves and location to be installed to control and equalize your water features.

Insist all pipes and equipment be labeled before the pool is turned on.

Pipes should not be brought up through concrete by the equipment pad.

Equipment should be spread out on pad to allow access for future maintenance and equipment changes. Pipes should not be cut close to the ground. Pipes should have horizontal and vertical runs to allow future cuts for maintenance.

Thank you ajw22 for information since I'm the PB and this is my first pool its very helpful .

I would have not thought about having a light over pool equipment for convenience great idea.

The electrical outlet for the robot I'm just running a line to and in-ground GFCI outlet by pool then picking it up and putting it away. After some research I'm think of going with the Dolphin Active 20. Could I get ride of some of the other equipment since I'm using a robot instead of pressure cleaner?
