Yeah I know everyone says it's a no no to put led lights in the pool. But that's because the transformer could short and send 120V into the pool. So I went a little different (and much safer route) route.
I installed a 100W 12v solar panel and a solar charger. This maintains a 12V deep cell battery. Which powers 87' of LED rope lighting (12V) which I zip tied inside the top cap. The lights draw 36 watts total. So I have more then enough solar hours available to keep the battery topped off.
