I have a 25k gal in-ground pool (8 years old) and the whirlpool recently developed a leak.

I provide photos showing the leak location which is under tile (not good, I know).

Also, I provided photos of the pool as it was being built.

I would like to get feedback from the forum members to see if anyone has experienced this and the best approach to getting it repaired.

Thanks !

Do you think the leak is coming from the pipes or from the shell?

When does it leak?

How much water flows from the leak?

Lower the water level of the spa and show us what the interior of the spa looks like in that area?

It leaks only when I turn on the SPA mode.

When in pool mode there is no leaks, so it is related to the SPA piping feeding the SPA jets.

I will take a photo of the inside of the SPA.

Also, one of the uploaded photos show the SPA when it was being built showing circulating jets on the opposite side of where the leak is.

Thanks !

Sounds like you may have had a pipe crack during a Texas freeze.

It will probably require some surgery removing the coping stones and tile and seeing where the water is coming out from. Then digging into the gunite to expose the pipes until you get to the leak.

Follow the water trail.
