In ground pool lights

I have an in ground pool of 25yrs. The manual lights come on at random. Decided to shut off at the main breaker in the box. Will anything happen if I keep using the breaker switch to turn on and off every week? Concerned by doing so it will be cause for an electrician.

If your circuit breaker has a mark that reads SWD or HID it is suitable to be used as a switch.

Otherwise a circuit breaker used as a switch can quickly get worn out to where it trips prematurely.
