In floor system versus rebel suction side cleaner

Good day. First post. I've done a search, but no luck.
I'm about to the contract stage, but I really need to make a decision about cleaners. My two main options are pentair rebel suction side or upgrade to A&A quick clean in floor system (has lifetime warranty for parts)
We are in SE Arizona, not alot of leaves. It's our retirement home so "plan" on being here for awhile.
Thanks for any opinions/input.

Those who seem to like in-floor cleaners the most are in dusty environs. That said, a robot also does really well with dust with the finest cartridges installed. A robot costs about 10-20% of an in-floor from what I’ve seen. So nothing to sneeze at there.

In no scenario would I choose a pressure or suction side cleaner. They are the cell phone equivalent of a flip phone.

Scot,

Welcome to TFP... A great place to find the answers to all your "Retirement" Pool questions... :shark:

A million years ago when the only options for a pool cleaner was either a Pressure side cleaner or a Suction side cleaner, the in-floor system made some sense.. But today, in my mind, using any water powered cleaner just does not make sense... Technology wise, it is like using an old black rotary dial phone instead of your cell phone... :p

The down side to water power cleaners is that you have to run your main pool pump to make them work... Especially with an In-floor system, you have to run your pump at full speed. An in-floor system will also make your plumbing about 3 x more complex than it needs to be.. I like simple!!!

There is a reason that they make the parts available for life.. Without that "hook" no one would buy an in-floor system.

Thanks for posting,

Jim R.
