IG Vinyl Pool - Depth Modifications?

Hello Everyone!

Our pool is a very traditional IG Vinyl pool. It's 18x36, 3ft in the shallow end and 8 feet in the deep end with a large slope inbetween.

My wife and I would love to have the shallow end a bit deeper (around 4ft), and the deep end a bit shallower (around 5 - 5.5ft).

I am unsure what type of floor we have, but it doesn't feel like a sand bottom.

We are due for a new liner soon and we are wondering what we can expect to hear from the pool company when we ask about these modifications.

Are they relatively "simple" or would it be equivilant to installing a new pool from scratch?

Welcome to TFP!

In-ground liner pools will almost certainly be concrete and I'm sorry to say you're essentially going to be asking them to tear our your current pool and then also build a pool in a spot that's not freshly dug for it. Very labor intensive.
