The red and black should go to a cover position sensor.
If you disconnect the red and black and install a jumper the C should go away.

Right. But then nothing plugs into the green adapter plug at all?
No.Then will the c happen when the cover is closed
I have been, but I don't go regularly. You are amazing, do you travel to NJ?
I'm just a pool owner, while pretty handy not sure I know how and where to install a jumper. Going to have to call someone I thinkDid the C go away when you used a jumper?
I dont know. The cover works from the switch, it is currently open. The salt cell works fine, just is stuck in the "c" as you said. When i take out the red and black wires from the green piece, it seems there is no power coming from the red and black wires. similarly, when i plug in the jumper, and plug in the green part, the jumper isnt showing power either. There's no power to the cell at all?
It seems my com port doesn't have those color wiresThe Cell connector has a red, black, green and white.
The red and black are power and the green and white are data.
There should also be 4 wires connecting the Com port on the iChlor Power Center to the Com port in the Automation box.
These wires are red, yellow, green and black.
There should be two wires from a cover position sensor to the green screw terminal block.
These wires can be any color.
When the cover is open, the sensor should act like a simple closed switch.
When the cover is closed, the sensor should act like a simple open switch.

Your Com port wiring looks mixed up, but it is hard to tell.
There’s no basis for that hypothesis.Pentair thinks that the green plug in part should have black and white and not black and red.
