Long story short... I've had issues with my Pentair intelliconnect system since startup. Most notably the intelliconnect losing connection with the pump and swg.

We recently got Pentair out and they said th pump needed a firmware upgrade done in person. That thousands of shipped units during the pandemic shipped with firmware that would lose connectivity.

After that, the pump connection works fine. And it 'says' the swg is good too. Until I try to change anything. It says not connected. I'm also quite sure it's not generating chlorine now, and while my app says 16% the actual unit shows 0% output.

All lights seem fine though. There are no other signals of an issue like red lights. See attached for setup. Obviously I'm trying to get installers out. But always hard. Any advice on what could be going on or how to troubleshoot as I work that angle greatly appreciated. I tried cutting power and restarting to no avail.

If you run 24/7, I would take the RS485 for the SWCG off the IntelliConnect and set the output at the IChlor. At least for now.

Good suggestion. I took off the RS485 at the ichlor power station and it runs manually fine now.

I've actually been running the pump 23 hours now because the pentair rep told me to have it off for an hour because it can prevent issues with how the systems reconcile time, or something. Seemed odd, but whatever.

Should be no issue running it manually still, right?

No need to cycle the pump off each day.
Not great to leave the swcg powered on when the pump is not running.
Thanks. I set it to 24/7.

I thought if it was hooked up correctly then the ichnor only got power when the pump was on.

I wish there was an easier way to talk ho pentair directly.
