My SWCG just started to do this as well. One month after the warranty window of course! What I've done to date:
Unit if wired for 230VAC input
1. Checked voltages OUT of the original Power Center - 27VDC AND 12.8 VAC on red/black.
2. Replaced Power Center with new unit and check voltages OUT of the new unit- 40VDC, no VAC.
3. Unit still flashes AC with both Power Centers.

Next steps save for inputs from you all:

1. Check power out of display unit at pool store if they will let me. If voltages are the same, replace Ichlor 30 SWCG unit.
2. If voltages are different, replace both units.
Thoughts?

Sounds like the right plan.

My bet is the cell needs to be replaced.

How many gallons in your pool?

Consider replacing it with an IntelliChlor cell, which is higher quality, and uses the same Power Center. You will need to adjust the PVC as the IntelliChlor cell is longer.
