I have a new IC40 salt cell and it is making too much chlorine. I have an intellichem and intellicenter. I changed the settings in intellicenter to 40% but all the green lights are still lit up on the cell indicating it is producing 100%. I am running the pump 8 hours a day and the chlorine is off the charts high.

Boo,

We are not fans of the IntelliChem, for many reasons..

That said the IntelliChem is controlling when the cell makes chlorine so the 100% lights mean nothing.

The IntelliChem uses an ORP probe to monitor chlorine, and that does not work at all with our CYA recommendations.

Automated FC systems are great, right up to the point of the crash..

Sorry, but I don't know enough about the IntelliChem to help you with the problem.. :(

I have the CYA jacked way too high and it is screwing up the ORP. I mainly have the Intellichem for the PH, it keeps is perfect all the time. Is it possible to turn off the ORP in the Intellichem and let the Intellicenter controll the salt cell? Once I have the ability to drain the pool to get the CYA down, I will turn it back on.
