iAqualink not accepting device number

Setting up iAqualink 2.0 on new pool. I have it connected to my router and the lights on the housing indicate wifi and internet connection. I created an account, but when I try to "add location" I get "enter valid serial number" error. I'm using the 12 digit code that is on the housing and on the startup packet. I've tried the Android App and the Web interface.
Any ideas?

I found this other thread that has a potential solution by pressing a reset button in the control panel. I'm not going to do it right now, because the builder has the system in Service mode to balance the new pool chemistry.

I assume you tried adding when the system was not in Service mode. You can't connect to a system in Service mode since it is locked out from changes except at the panel.

No, I tried adding it after in Service mode. That would explain it. Thank you!
