Hey everyone, just realized when I added chlorine last night that my light is burnt out, I believe it is a Hayward light, I should be able to remove the light assembly and pull the cord up and out of the pool and open and replace the bulb and then reassemble without draining the pool right? I will try to get a picture of it if that will help. Thanks for any help

Yes, you should be able to do so. Get a new gasket when you get your bulb. You are generally supposed to replace both when you do a bulb change.

Thank you! I will look into it, where does everyone here buy pool hardware?

INYO is a good first stop. They are very, very knowledgeable about what they sell. If you become a supporter of TFP, there are discounts available at INYO on purchases of $100 or more.

I usually go to Amazon, and they keep track of what you purchase which normally I don't like but I have replaced my light a couple times and always forgot what kind of light I have. Now I just go to Amazon when the bulb burns out, every 8 years or so, and reorder the same bulb and gasket. Makes it easy unless you are organized and write it down.
