When I hit the POOL/SPA button and the system switches from Pool to Spa......here is what is suppose to happen.

Pump Off
Valve 3 tracks over (stopping circulation to the pool)
Valve 4 tracks over (sending all circulation to the spa)
Pump comes back on after 30 seconds.

HOWEVER.....this is what actually happens.

Pump Off
Valve 3 does NOTHING
Valve 4 tracks over (sending all circulation to the spa)
Pump comes back on after 30 seconds.

Recently, I had to change my systems main board. As a result, all of my programed settings had to go back in. Well, I must have missed something because that Valve 3 does not track over when I change if to spa

I can go over to the main board and touch the Valve 3 Button and it will track over. But it does not do it automatically, like Valve 4 does.

So.....I'm thinking someone with way more knowledge knows what to do.....here is how my system is currently configured....what did I miss??????

Timer Menu
-----Valve 3 = OFF

Configuration Menu
-----Valve 3
-----Name: Valve 3
-----Function = Time Clock
-----Interlock = Disable
-----Freeze = Disable (South Louisiana, Freeze hahahaha)

-----Vakve 4
-----Name: Valve 4
-----Function = Manual On/Off
-----Interlock = Disabled
-----Freeze = Disabled

What did I do wrong????

HELP???

What manufacturer and model automation system are we discussing?

I have a Hayward System. My pool is about 16 years old. My logic board is the GLX-PCB-MAIN. The number on the board is G1-066008N-1.

On my panel, it says "Pro Logic" and in the lower area, Goldline Systems.

Is there other info you need?

Let me know?

The return actuator needs to be plugged into Valve1.

The suction actuator needs to be plugged into Valve 2.

Pool and Spa - Std should be selected in Configuration.

That is the setting I have it on. "Pool and Spa-Std"

I don't have Valve 1 and Valve 2......it's set up as Valve 3 and Valve 4.......

On my keypad, if I hit the button Valve 3....the valve moves....if I this valve 4.....the valve moves.

But, if I change the button from POOL to SPA....then only one of the valves move.....not both as it should be.

What am I missing?

Lower left of the board there are FOUR valve actuator sockets.

Bottom two are for RETURN and SUCTION.

I'm going to take a pic of it tomorrow....you are saying that if mine is plugged into Valve 3 and valve 4 (above 1 and 2) it is wrong and that is my problem?

LET ME KNOW?

Yes, that is what I am saying.

I
Yes, that is what I am saying.
I got one more question.....I'm so sorry for seeming to be so dumb.

On my system, Valve 4 is the one that is connected to the spa.......when it moves, the full power of the pump is sent into the spa.

Valve 3 is the one that is connected to the pool. When it moves, the water fall on the spa stops and the water stops coming into the pool and only goes into the spa.

So....that is how it is on the system...and the buttons on the panel.....that is what valve 3 and 4 do.

Which one is considered "Suction" and which is considered "Return"???? Just let me know as it is on my system.....Suction is 3 and Return is 4 or visa versa that way I know exactly what valve pins to move and I don't mess something else up.

LET ME KNOW.....

And THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Show me pictures of your equipment pad and where the valves we are discussing are located in the plumbing.

The SUCTION valve should be in front of your filter pump.

Your RETURN valve should be at the end of your water flow before the pipes go to the pool and spa.

AJ.....I've got to tell you that there is NO WAY I would have ever figured this out without you! I'm a professional photographer, that means I have an eye for detail. So....swapping out one logic board for another is not that hard of a problem for me. I carefully and slowly put everything back EXACTLY the way I find it. It's kinda what I do for a living.....DETAIL.

WELL.....I must be slipping in my old age. Here is the photo of what it looked like when I opened the panel:

As you can see....I have my Valves plugged into Suction 2 and Valve 3....this is why valve 3 was not working!!!!

So.....I moved them down....2 went to 1 and 3 went to 2......check it out:

And JUST LIKE YOU SAID........it works PERFECTLY NOW........Like I said, had it not been for you and TFP.....I would have agonized over this for YEARS!!!! Probably just manually moving the Valve when I needed it.

My friend....you are amazing and you totally made my day!

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!! IF I can ever do ANYTHING for you.......do not hesitate to ask!!!!
