I made a pool logger

OK, so once I find the right spot for them I will add SWG%, filter pressure, last backwash date, etc... along with my import functionality. Also adding customer reminders instead of defaulting to 2 days for FC and PH and weekly for the rest. Just need the time and the right place for it.

Not to complicate the SWG % idea, but it's not really the SWG % that is important, but the SWG % x pump runtime (hours of SWG production) that you would want graphed. If you ever change your pump runtime per day, then the straight SWG % graph becomes tainted data.

With my first year of owning a pool I've yet to change the hours of pump run time, just adjusted the SWG% and lowering RPM for the cooler months (but I guess not everyone has a VS pump). This can get really too complicated very quickly as you might as well also track the hours of sunlight since that impacts your chlorine through burn off :)

So what I am thinking about adding is a new button to add these other types of measurements. SO you don't need to see them when you are adding a new test or chemicals. I was thinking its more of an add maint. button. For things like pump run time, swg%, filter pressure. Then have settings and reminders for 'clean filter pressure', last cleaned dates etc. Custom reminders are coming soon as well. For everything including testing and cleaning. I will try and get started on it this week. Sound good?

Yes it does!

I finished implementing custom reminders. You can set individual reminder times (in days) for each test. All this will do it give you a warning on the home screen when you have passed your reminder dates. I have not implemented any kind of text message alert type system yet because the SMS API's cost money and I'm not making money off this site :) Maybe a future Pro/Premium feature. The SMS API let you allow the app to listen for text messages too, which would be really cool, cause if the App send you a reminder, you could just reply back with your test results and it would enter them in the app for you. Future plans maybe!

Next up, Maintenance stuff as discussed above.

Love the new feature.

BTW, I had to implement SMS notifications on the cheap once, and found that most, if not all, of the cellular providers have an email address that can be used to send SMS messages. So the user would have to enter both their phone # and their provider. Check this link out. https://20somethingfinance.com/how-to-send-text-messages-sms-via-email-for-free/

I totally forgot about that. Good call. Time to think about how I can get this going!

This is awesomeness! Love the fact I can change from daily to 30 day reminders. This app is getting nicer by the day.

Your site continues to evolve very nicely. Glad to be able to set the custom days for reminders, very nice addition. Thanks for making it easier to use and more powerful. Just this week I discovered and used the Quick Calculator by clicking on the "FC", I had not found that, but very nice to have.

A small request for that quick calculator is to not only have your Target chlorine as an input, but also have an input for what you are going to use to adjust it with. It could default to what is in settings, but would be nice to adjust the input there on the quick calculator on the fly for just that calculation. This is a very very small thing I got around very easily by changing a default and saving, then setting it back, but here is why it would be nice. On a daily basis, no need to change that parameter, just use the default, but I was out of town last week and came back to algae so I went in to slam mode - I wanted to raise chlorine to 12 or more, but also wanted to do it with some Cal-Hypo 73% I had rather than the 8.25% chlorine bleach I typically use. The quick calculator only tells me how much liquid chlorine to add - I had to change my default to the Cal-Hypo and calculate then set it back to the chlorine. Again - this was such a small thing and easy to get around, but it's just a small add on some day when you run out of big things to add.

Thanks again for the tool.
