Here is what is going on. Obviously, my pump takes suction from the pool. After going through the filter, it returns to the jacuzzi and overflows to the pool. Now, when I vac the bottom of the pool, my jacuzzi turns GREEN right away, like there is no filter. It's the weirdest thing. When I pull the cartridges out, they do have a Little green, but not much. Can anyone explain this??
I had a DE filter for a long time. It developed a crack. I replaced it with a cartridge filter. My pool is now GREEN.

Are you vacuuming algae? Your filter has a crack? Where? Sounds like whatever you are vacuuming is going straight through into the spa.
Your valves shouldn't be set for a pool to circulate that way.
Green water is caused by lack of chlorine. Do you have water test results?
Algae forms because of lack of chlorine. It is not a filter issue.
What it appears to be is that you are vacuuming up the algae from the bottom of the pool and you have plumbing set to return to the spa. We would need to see a photo of the equipment pad to understand what is set up.
I understand that the lack of chlorine will cause Algae. But why is my new cartridge filter not catching the algae and letting the algae go right back to the pool when I vacuum it. I did not have this problem with my DE filtration. Are cartridge filters not as good? The only reason I replaced my DE filter is because it had a crack in it and the cartridge was cheaper. Also. someone mentioned that it was not a good idea to send the water back to the jacuzzi and let the water cascade to the pool. Is filtering the water this way work just as well?
You could have a tear in your filter cartridge which is allowing the algae back.
A photo of your equipment pad and how your returns are set up would help determine if the valves are set up properly.
