I cant keep chlorine in my pool

I had a brand new 30 x52 installed 2 weeks ago. It has a built in chlorinater. I keep it full of tabs and I have the dial turned up as high as it will go and the chlorine still registers zero.

The only thing the pool place did was to shock it and add algaecide.

Don't I need to add stabilizer? If So, what's the easiest way to add it? It's approximately 21,000 gallons.

It does set out in full sun.

yes, you need stabilizer to protect the chlorine from the sun. at least 30ppm of cyanuric acid.
BUT, unless you have a great test kit (tf 100 or a k2006c) you’ll be shooting in the dark on how to maintain that pool

Welcome to the forum!
The tablets you are using are adding 1.6 ppm CYA for each one that is used. So eventually you will have stabilizer/CYA in your water, most likely way too much.
