I have an old 13500 gallon fiberglass pool with no main drain. Well hole fills up with sand and I am having a ground water issue. Can I retrofit a hydrostatic valve in the floor of my pool?
I have not seen hydrostatic valves used on fiberglass pools and I don't think they are effective in preventing a FG pool from popping out of the ground.
I think a FG pool is too light and it can be popped out with less water pressure then what a hydrostatic valve will release at.
I suggest you discuss this with FG pool manufactures or installers.
