Hello, I have a new Hydropool 770 spa. It has several filtering and heating modes which are explained poorly in the manual. We use it daily right now, should I just leave it in standard filtering mode? I am assuming it is cleaning and heating 24/7. TIA!

WATER CARE
The Water Care section will help you set up your ideal filtration and heating settings. Choose from Away, Beginner, Energy Savings, Super Energy Savings and Weekender, depending on your needs.
Use the Light key to choose your setting. A checkmark will appear on the selected icon to confirm.
In Energy Savings mode, the set point will be re- duced by 20oF (11C), which means that the heat- ing system will not be engaged unless the temper- ature falls to 20oF (11C) below the spa’s set tem- perature.
Water Care Modes:
Away:
In this mode the spa will always be in economy; the set point will be reduced by 20oF (11C) and the filtration can be reduced.
Beginner:
The spa will never be in economy mode, and will run a normal 24 hours of filtration a day.
Energy Savings:
The spa will be in economy mode during the peak hours of the day and resume normal mode on the weekend.
Super Energy Savings:
The spa will always be in economy mode during peak hours, every day of the week.
Weekender:
The spa will be in economy mode from Monday to Friday, and will run normally on the weekend.

Run it in Beginner mode and see if you have a problem with your electrical bill. If you want to reduce your electrical bill you can experiment with the other settings and see if one fits your pattern of usage.

Once the novelty of having a spa wears off you may find you are using it less.

What you posted does not list “standard “. Where do you see that?

Choose from Away, Beginner, Energy Savings, Super Energy Savings and Weekender, depending on your needs.

Yah I agree it's confusing. So my control panel doesn't have beginner. It came set to "Standard", which has a filter cycle set for 12pm, 6pm, and midnight that runs for 6 hours. There are no economy schedules set. Beyond standard it has the away, energy saver, super energy saver, and weekender schedules.

Just trying to understand what they all do!

TIA!

Manuals are often not changed when they change a small detail in the product. I would assume someone changed "Beginner" to "Standard" and did not go back and change the manual.

I think someone in marketing realized Beginner is a bad term for a setting and has negative connotations.
