Hi, and thanks for being here. I learned so much here when we moved to fla 8 yrs. ago. We were flooded by Hurricane Ian...3 trees and a pool cage in the pool. Nearly 3 weeks later we have removed most debris. The water is brown. Is the proper protocol to begin the SLAM now, or is there something more intensive that we need to do? Thanks, in advance, for any input you can share. 10K gallon pool.

Welcome to TFP! Glad to hear you're safe. As for the water, a SLAM Process would be next to address algae. Make sure you've removed as much debris as possible so the chlorine has less to deal with. Follow the SLAM Process. carefully and maintain the proper FC to CYA (SLAM) ratio as noted on the FC/CYA Levels and you should do fine.
