HtPmp Prf function on Pentair MasterTemp 400?

Hi,

New to this forum and hoping for a kind answer I recently discovered that I have multiple heat options: HtPmp, HtPmp Prf and Heater. Does anyone know what HtPmp Prf means - and how it's differentiated versus the other two setting?

Are you seeing those terms on your Mastertemp screen or in your Automation setup?
I suggest you read ABC's of Pool Water Chemistry.

If you have Easytouch, and you have a gas heater and solar or a heat pump, you can select solar preferred or heat pump preferred so that the heat pump or solar will be used instead of gas when they are going to work well under the weather conditions. This reduces the amount of gas you have to use to keep the pool warm.
