Hp1100 pool heater turns on no instructions

For your heat pump, I would expect about.

BTU/HR.....COP..... Air F°....RH%.....Water F°

110,000.....6.1..........80......80...........80

101,000.....5.8..........80......63...........80

70,000.......4.0..........50......63...........80

How much actual wind goes over the surface of the water?

Average wind speed?

Average air temp over the pool?

Water temp desired?
Hi James

We are getting upto 29mph today with 14 mph accross the surface

Water temp desired is 78f

Average air temp today is around 73 today due to wind

If the loss is 350 btu/hr per sqft, then that is 350 x 252 = 88,200 btu/hr loss.

Air.......BTU/Hr Gain.
50...........70,000
60...........83,000
70...........96,000
80...........110,000.

If the heat pump does 96,000 btu/hr and you need 88,200 btu/hr, then the heat pump needs to run about 92% of the time to maintain the temperature.

Thanks James makes sense not having it covered and only running the heat pump around 6 hrs a day.

Q.I have noticed the heat pump only creates condensation first thing in the morning when is low 60s ? Is this normal forgot to ask thxs

Low humidity will reduce condensation, but there should usually be some.

When heating, heat pumps can produce upwards of 9 gallons of water an hour depending on the temperature and humidity conditions.

Ok I will have to try it early morning as today it wasn’t producing any condensation from the bottom and I thought A. it may be the capacitor had stopped working except the fan was running and the run light was on. B the thermal switch ?

Hi James, so the air coming out of the top is cold no hot water coming out of the jets, is there a thermostat switch which could have gone bad.

The unit is running which is an improvement just not sure if it’s kicking on the heat. Apologies for the ping over weekend

78 degrees is the air on the top air temp 77 pool temp 72

Took some

I just back washed and filter pressure is at 1 , the pump is a new pump adding some pictures.

The heater was running when it first got Freon wondering if the capacitor has gone out except the fan is running

I looked at the temperature sensors and not sure I have enough contacts in the board command controller
