Howdy from Dallas, Texas. I've been on this site a few times to learn how to SLAM, adjust my CYA and just about everything else for my new pool as my pool contractor didn't do a very good job teaching me how to maintain it. I've compared information on this site to others and the information here is better, more detailed and insights of how to do certain things, like the cyanuric acid in a sock technique, is great. I haven't see that on any other site.

Welcome to TFP... A great place to learn all about taking care of your own pool...
Socks work, but I find that Ladies Knee-High stockings work much better... And the knee-high part can be used to hang them in front of a pool water return.
