I am using the pool math app but I can't find the intructions/chlorine amount for slam.
I tested this morning and have attached results.
My water is clear and not green. There's no evidence of algae, etc.
Our salt cell light is on and has been even after cleaning, troubleshooting, etc. It's about a year old. We're working to see if our cell is bad or the board is bad.
In the meantime, we need chlorine. Where can I find how much and how to SLAM in the pool math app?

Your pool water is too cold for the SWG to function. Most SWGs stop working at water temps below ~55 degrees.

Is you pool 38k or 45k gallons? Your signature shows 38k and your account details shows 45k. Correft the wrong volume.

Click Free Chlorine and it will open that section. There it will show current and target levels. The target area will show target levels based on your current CYA. You can also show SLAM levels by clicking the SLAM button. Be wure to set the sanitizer type, etc.

Suggest you add enough liquid chlorine to get to upper end of target level for your CYA and then do an Overnight Chlorine Loss Test to see if you actually need to SLAM or not.

"LC" is liquid chlorine

Pool volume corrected to 38k.
Is there something in the app to tell me how kuch LC to put in the pool? I don't have any on hand, so I'll need to buy some. Thanks for your help!

Are you able to scroll down on this screen at all. The reason I ask is because I can scroll from here to see RECOMMENDATIONS on what to add, BUT Iam looking at it set for Liquid Chlorine use.

Maybe a SWG user can view and comment our thread.

Scroll down on the Free Chlorine screen I mentioned in post #4. Based on your present entered chlorine and the target, it will provide the quantity to add. Be sure sanitizer ttpe is set to liquid chlorine and you enter the perdent of the LC you get.

Suggest you pick up 4 gallons of 10% or 12.5% to start. Add enough liquid chlorine to get near high end of target range for your CYA.

After you get chlorine into the target range for your CYA, do an Overnight Chlorine Loss Test to determine if you need to do the SLAM Process.

I think i see the confusion
Click the box to Change your sanitizer type to liquid chlorine - it will then allow you to pick your percentage & show you the recommendation.
