How to replace mesh bag for pentair cleaner?

The complete bag costs $30 (1st photo attached). The mesh fabric on my bag starts to breakdown.

I saw replacement mesh bags online (2nd photo). Anybody knows how to remove the old bag from the mouth made of gray plastic?

That mesh bag is for the Pentair minivac 204, not your cleaner.

Cut the old bag bat off, hot melt glue a new bag on, hope for the best.

There is a metal ring inside the plastic collar that keeps the fabric attached. They come apart. Pull yours off the cleaner and look inside. Make sure you can get it apart without breaking the plastic before ordering just the replacement bag. EDIT - I should say this is the way it works for the Pentair Racer, it looks similar, I would expect yours does too. I've also found that the Pentair bag alone costs almost as much as the complete assembly with the new collar. YMMV.
