How to remove and install the Retaining Ring in Jandy CL cartridge filter?

Hello. I noticed a leak in one of our Jandy CL460 filters, and upon inspection, I noticed the retaining ring inside the filter was rusted (near the leak site). I just ordered a new ring from Amazon, but the reviews said the part doesn't come with instructions. Does anyone know how to remove the old part and install the new part? My ring is corroded, so I don't know if there are supposed to be screws which loosen/tighten the ring. See attached photo. Thanks!

Thanks, Allen. I used a small flat blade screwdriver and a hammer, and the retaining ring popped out fairly easily. I will close out this thread once I install the new part which is arriving next week.

I installed the new retaining ring, and it simply seats into the lower unit with pressure. I used hand pressure with gloves (edges are sharp) and then worked the ring into the unit with gentle hammer taps.
