How to know actuator/valve configuration for water flow?

Half way! That's genius. Any concerns with the pump trying to pull from 3 pipes partially open and one pipe partially open? From an algae perspective it is not an issue.

No - and glad we got the toggle switch thing worked out!!

I have my actuated valves set so that in pool mode I still have a small amount of suction and return to the spa while in 'pool' mode. You just adjust the trip switches in the actuator by adjusting the cam that activates them. Takes some trial and error. Keeps the spa chlorinated without a big spill over.

Interesting. I'm going to think about doing that. In the Spring, I will be trying different things to minimize spillover aeration. And I know how to set the cams, as I've done it with my return actuator in the past.

Great. Now that you've got that, I just want to reiterate that you will lose automation control of this valve. So if you want to heat up the Spa this winter via your Aqua Logic, this valve will NOT move to close off pool suction. You've essentially disabled it. So if you want it to move back to automation at a later time, you'll need to find the correct position of the toggle that corresponds to your current software setting. That is, if software says Spa mode, then move the toggle to shut off Pool intake. Then the automation will work again.
