How to get valves on

I have a Pentair EasyTouch and can’t seem to get the valves to function. Is there a setting in the EasyTouch that turns them on after being closed for the winter? I’ve looked under circuits and valves in the EasyTouch but cant seem to figure it out. They won’t even respond when I move the manual button.

E,

When you say.. "They won’t even respond when I move the manual button. " do you mean the little toggle switch on the actuator??

If so, that indicates the EasyTouch is not generating the 24 VAC that make the valves move..

Is the EasyTouch up and running? Is the 24 VAC circuit breaker in the upper right the enclose, popped?

Did someone remove the actuator connectors on the back of the main EasyTouch board?

I can't think of any setting that would shut the valves off.. Basically, if the ET is getting power, the valves should be getting power and the little toggle switch should move the valves from one stop to the other.

Did someone pull up the valve handles and put them into the manual mode?

Thanks,

Jim R.

Everything seems to be plugged in correctly. The circuit breakers seem to be in the correct position. Everything else electronically is working the valves just do not rotate. I’m not sure if there’s a setting in the EasyTouch or if I’m just missing something. This is the first time I’ve attempted to open my pool myself. Sort of a learning curve. They’re repainting the pool tomorrow and I plan on filling it. My goal was to have everything operational and run the pump to waste to get the antifreeze out. Is this the correct thing to do if I can get the valves to work?

E,

You did not really answer my initial question.. Did you try to move the valves by using the little toggle switch on the back of the actuator? Make sure the toggle switch is not set in the middle (off) position.
