How to get deck drain covers off

Any information on how those grates/ covers come off? I have a 50 year old house and just got an absurd amount of rain today and now I have the same problem. Are the grate covers soldered in or epoxied? Any one know?

Typically it’s just years of sand and grit holding them in place.
