Yes, I did that first, tbh. It will close but the post won't stay that way.

Ok. So the fix is to reset the hinge post.

I am terrible at making plumb fence posts and would try to anchor the hinge post first.

I'm going to pull the hinge post over with a turnbuckle. Resetting it would be a nightmare. Then I think I'm going to buy 4 small corner braces and put them on the gate to try and square it up and keep it that way.
