how to eliminate foaming from using algaecide 40

Hi, welcome to TFP! Unfortunately, you will filter out the foam the algaecide created. Do you use algaecide as a preventative or do you currently have algae?
I’ve never seen poly quat 40 or 60 cause foaming if used in a clear pool. Using algaecide to try and clear a green pool is useless. It’s a preventative method not a fix. Chlorine and testing are your tools needed.
You wait. And wait. And wait, until the chlorine oxidizes it all. I hope it doesn't look this bad
