How to Drain Water

Hey all- my salt keeps rising in my pool. Now it’s at almost 4600. Salt cell was turned back on to help with chlorine levels since it was below 0. Now my salt cell is reading high salt. I wasn’t shown how to drain my pool, can someone help me out so I can drain and then add water in? The spout I have turned on I think drains water but not sure.

That valve is not a proper way to drain. It appears you have no drain line (hard to see all the parts of your equipment pad)
Suggest you do a water exchange since you do not want to expose your plaster to that NV sun.
You can get a submersible pump to help or you can use a siphon method if you have a long hose and gravity feed.

I used the Taylor kit, that was one of my pictures from my post.

I see 3 pictures, none of them are of a Taylor salt test kit.

Did you add 84 pounds of salt over the past 5 days? That's the only way it could have gone up that much that fast.

The screen shot of my results were of a taylor test kit. I haven’t added any salt. I just turned my salt cell back on. In 5 days it has gone up massively and I am not sure why, hence me asking for advise.

Salt levels do not go up 1000 ppm in 5 days unless you added over 80 pounds of salt. It has to be a testing error.

To help figure out what went wrong we need to know what specific salt test you are using to get those readings.

I would retest your salt again. I interpreted that your PM logs was your test results and not your salt cell reading.
Also - we normally report CYA in decade numbers as it is logarithmic scale between the decade lines.
