How to Drain Spa in order to replace Check Valves?

Need to replace check valves - on both the spa fountain and jets. How do I drain the spa so that I don't get 10k gallons of water coming through the open check valve while I'm replacing them???

Certain that it's obvious and I need a pointer. Thanks!

Some control systems allow you to drain or fill spa through the valve buttons, but the aqualogic control doesn't. So you can manually move the valve by using the toggle on motor actuator. Use this switch on the suction side actuator to switch to spa suction and the water will return to pool, draining the spa down. If the spa fountain is on the pool return side and has a valve shutoff while draining

Thank you that worked fine - had to manually override the Intermatic automatic valve but once I did that I could drain from the hot tub into the pool. It worked great thank you!
