Hello everyone, I have been doing a ton of searching and haven't found any clear direction on attaching a Gas heater to a soft sided pool. Like a lot of people I bought my first pool to see how things go which is a Bestway 16' AGP. My son won't go in without it being warm so to ensure we are able to reuse the heater if we buy a bigger pool later we went with the Raypak Digital 199,500 BTU Electronic Natural Gas Swimming Pool Heater. I have poured a concrete pad for the heater, 21" sand filter and 1hp pump. I think i'm good for connecting the pump and filter but looking for advice on connecting the heater to the pool. I have seen a number of posts stating that suppliers won't warranty a soft sided pool with a large heater like this due to the potential of melting components etc. Any recommendations of the best way to connect this to the pool to ensure a level of safety? Any help is hugely appreciated. Thanks

If you have a salt cell, it should be plumbed after the heater. The heater should cycle on and off to maintain the water temp at your desired level. I guess if the thermostat in the heater goes bad then you might have some melting problems.

Hopefully, somebody with a similar setup will see your post and jump in with more information.
