How to connect Bestway (or Intex) 2 1/4 inch male thread to standard 1.5 inch PVC pipe fittings?

Hi all

I've got a Plastic AGP and I'm plumbing all the kit up with standard 1.5 inch PVC pipe.

However... just realised my Bestway SWG (Flowclear™ Hydrogenic 6 g/h Saltwater Chlorinator, as per image) has different size fittings. Measuring the thread, I think it's 2 1/4 inch (about 56mm?). How do I connect my 1.5 inch PVC pipe to this?

It came with one hose (not two) that has a female connector to screw on to either side, and on the other end, the same. There's also one (again, not two!) hose tail type connection that will screw onto the male thread and that then provides an option to fit some kind of hose... narrower though and doesn't help with the 1.5 inch pipe.

Can't see to find any relevant Intex or Bestway (same size I believe) convertor online, but I may be using the wrong terminology... any ideas??

I'm based in the UK.

Thanks all

Hi - thanks, but I don't think so. I did come across this (was mentioned on another post) but 40mm isn't right. Perhaps that's for the smaller 1inch Intex/Bestway pipes - not sure what the thread would be? It seems mine is the 1.5 inch Bestway pipe and the thread is a 2 inch female (not 2 and 1/4 as I thought) which is 50.8mm.

What I have found (and purchased) is 2 of these:

Plus another 1.5 inch Bestway pipe so I can attach both ends... fingers crossed this works!
